I’m currently working for ACROLA, a small regionally-based association specialising in various aspects of ornithology. My principal tasks revolve around carrying out fieldwork and monitoring projects as well as the transfer of knowledge via school visits and public events.
Our funding comes from various sources: regional and local government entities, private clients such as SNCF or ENEDIS and from grants such as the EU LIFE programme. We are currently partenered with Wetlands International and various national organisations in Europe and Africa on the “Aquatic Warbler on the move” LIFE project which aims to safeguard migration stopover sites and improve their suitability to support migrating Aquatic Warblers (Acrocephalus paludicola).
